Movies with a Mission

The Arcángel Film Festival seeks to improve lives through the use of film by inspiring audiences to take social action. We seek to promote films with Gospel values relevant to humanity's universal needs and current needs in society. 

The Arcángel Film Festival organization will demonstrate an example of unity and a message of collaboration in the arts, community service and social awareness and will commit itself to advancing the dialogue and cooperation between members of the media, filmmakers and the public through our festival events and networking fair as well as facilitating opportunities for professional collaboration beyond the event.

The Arcángel Film Festival intends to facilitate the opportunity for Christian unity, artistic collaboration, and to advance the dialogue and cooperation between members of the media, filmmakers and the public. AFF strives to achieve these objectives by connecting filmmakers with their audience through film screenings, hosting a networking and ministry fair, and providing educational workshops centering around the power of the media to raise awareness; elevate the human spirit; and inspire people to get involved in service to humanity. The festival will encourage filmmakers to tell admirable stories with uplifting themes that embody Gospel values and inspire audiences to take social action. Our Festival Ministry Fair promotes volunteerism and provides an opportunity for festival attendees to discover their own mission and ways they can help within the community by dialoging with local area ministries. 

Film Selections

The Arcángel Film Festival will promote films with Gospel values relevant to humanity's universal needs and current needs in society. Themes artistically portrayed across diverse genres will demonstrate values of love, mercy, forgiveness, sacrifice, redemption, transformation and everlasting and enduring truth experienced in the encounter with the divine.

* Educate storytellers in art and media through workshops and discussions. 

Intended to educate and encourage a new generation of filmmakers, our guest speaker panels and industry workshops will help teach filmmakers how to create and use media that will inspire and unite people across denominations to take on social issues.

* Inspire people to unite with charitable organizations and social action groups. 

*Connect media makers with their audience so that they continue to tell stories that matter to the community.
